Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce
Ingredients
- Chinese broccoli (usually found at Asian restaurants), though any firm vegetable (such as conventional broccoli or cauliflower) would work
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp high heat oil, such as vegetable oil
Instructions
- Blanch the Chinese broccoli, then plate it.
- In a pan, heat up the the oil to medium, then add the garlic to extract the aromatic flavor.
- Add the oyster sauce and stir.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the Chinese broccoli and serve.
Tips
Since Chinese broccoli usually comes with a stem part and a leafy part, which cook at different rates, I usually start blanching the stem part a bit sooner since it’ll take a bit longer to cook.
