Cheese Grits
Recipe I picked up from a cooking class at the New Orleans School of Cooking, with some slight modification.
Ingredients
.5 cup stone ground grits
1 cup water
1 cup whole milk
.25 cup Romano cheese, grated
1 tbsp cream cheese
.5 tsp salt
Equipment
- Just a pot
Instructions
Simmer water, milk, salt.
Whisk in grits, reduce heat to low, simmer for 20-30 minutes. Continually stir.
When serving, add Romano cheese and cream cheese, stir.
