Generic Brown Sauce
The name is plain, but it’s anything but that.
This is a staple sauce used in all sorts of Chinese dishes.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Add a splash of water
Instructions
- Mix it all and set it aside at the mise en place station until it’s called upon, such as for a chicken and broccoli dish.
